The Direct Flame (FLMR-1000) is a precision micro-torch for heating metallic samples in tension experiments. This is coupled with the FLMR-EYE for 1ms IR temp sensing resolution during testing.

For high-temperature tension testing, samples must be heated in place without affecting bar properties.  The direct flame heating method is best suited for this task.  A precision oxy-acetylene torch utilizes various tips to heat tension sample gauge sections up to and beyond 1000C.  A no-contact IR temperature sensing meter gives real-time sample surface temperature measurements.
