REL’s Universal Tripod Mount System, UTM-1800, is comprised of a heavy-duty gearhead paired with a high-capacity tripod for supporting heavy weight and high value loads. It’s ideal for applications that require precise positioning of expensive camera and lighting systems when typical commercial tripod kits won’t do.

The robust gearhead design controls pan and tilt positioning with large, high ratio hand wheels for simple and repeatable setups. The internal high capacity bronze worm gear sets are adjustable and serviceable for zero backlash and a large pan lock knob ensures your alignment stays secure. Every UTM-1800 includes a large, heavy duty aluminum mounting rail to attach components with capacity up to 250 pounds.

When paired with REL’s high intensity lighting systems, the UTM-1800 system includes integration fixtures to mount light arrays and camera systems coaxially, eliminating shadows and minimizing setup time. For remote control and motion tracking applications, the UTM-1800-S is available with a servo driven configuration.
